Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HelptechX (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website. It covers this website only.

The website has one way to send us information: the contact form. Everything in it is what you choose to type. The form asks for:

We use what you send through the contact form to read your enquiry, to reply to it, and to keep a record of it so that we can follow it up.

When you submit the form, the website’s server emails what you sent to our mailbox, consult@helptechx.com. The email comes from the website’s own address, with your email address set as the reply address, so that we can reply to you directly.

The form also has three protections against spam that visitors do not see. A hidden field that only automated software fills in, and a check on how quickly the form was completed, are used to spot automated submissions, and their results are not kept with your message. To limit repeated submissions, the server also counts recent submissions by IP address. That count is held in the server’s memory only. It is not written to a database, a file or a log, and it is lost when the server restarts. None of these protections use cookies or outside services.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use what you send us to build a marketing list. We will not contact you about something unrelated to your enquiry without asking you first.

Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which delivers the site to you, including through its content delivery network. Hostinger may keep technical records of visits, such as IP addresses and requests, under its own terms and privacy policy.

Our email is also provided by Hostinger. When you submit the contact form, the website’s server sends your message through Hostinger’s mail server to the consult@helptechx.com mailbox we hold there. Hostinger handles your message on our behalf, and the message is held in that mailbox. Hostinger may store or process information outside Australia. If the message cannot be delivered, the form tells you that it has not been sent.

We do not otherwise share your information with anyone, unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

This website does not set cookies of its own. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it does not load scripts, fonts or other content from other companies’ servers.

If that changes, we will update this policy before it does.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. The website is served over HTTPS. It does not keep a database of submissions, and its own code does not store your message or write it to a log. The website’s server sends your message to Hostinger’s mail server over an encrypted (TLS) connection, and it is delivered to our mailbox there.

No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Once your message is in our mailbox, its protection also depends on Hostinger’s systems and on how we look after access to the mailbox.

The website itself does not keep submissions. Each one arrives as an email in our mailbox, and we keep it there for as long as we need it to reply, to follow it up and to keep a reasonable record of it, and for any longer period the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. If you would like us to delete your enquiry sooner, ask us.

You can ask us for the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first, and in some cases the law lets us decline a request. If we do, we will tell you why.

We have written this policy with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles in mind. Whether those laws apply to us in a particular case depends on the circumstances, and this policy does not limit any right you have under them.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it took effect shown at the top. If we change how the website collects or uses information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this policy before the change goes live.
